When Melinda's (Jennifer Love Hewitt) husband Jim (David Conrad) saves the life of Gwen (Michelle Nolden), who attempted suicide so she could be with her deceased fiancé Connor (Sean Maher), Melinda sees Connor's ghost, who has been watching over Gwen since his death. Aware of her special abilities, Connor asks Melinda for a favour.
